Schoolcraft College Appoints Kehres-Dietrich to Environmental Studies Advisory Committee

July 11, 2008 (Plymouth, MI) – Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan has appointed Cheryl A. Kehres-Dietrich, CGWP, Senior Consultant at Soil and Materials Engineers, Inc. (SME) to its newly formed Environmental Studies Advisory Committee.

The advisory committee is responsible for evaluating and updating the college’s Environmental Studies Program, a new program which began in January 2008. In addition to Cheryl, the committee is comprised of other practitioners in the field including, Donna Clack, Eric Wallis, James Miller, John Foley, Orin Gederloos, Silverenia Kanoyton, and Yicun Xie.

Cheryl has 26 years of experience, including 22 with SME, and serves as senior client contact and manager for complex environmental projects. She specializes in managing risk assessments and developing innovative remedial solutions throughout the building cycle from site acquisition and design to construction to maintenance and redevelopment. Cheryl holds a master of science degree and bachelor of science degree in Geology, with a specialization in Hydrogeology, from Michigan State University. She is a Certified Ground Water Professional through the National Ground Water Association and a Certified Underground Storage Tank Professional through the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
