Larry
Shook, PE, Named Regional Manager of SME Bay City Office

June 17, 2008 (Plymouth, MI) – Soil and Materials Engineers,
Inc. (SME) has appointed Larry Shook, PE, to Regional
Manager of our office in Bay City, Michigan.
Larry has over 25 years of experience including 19 with SME, and specializes
in providing solutions to environmental / geotechnical engineering
challenges and constructability issues. He supports our clients at
every stage of the building cycle from site acquisition and environmental
remediation to evaluation / design of shallow and deep foundation
systems, and oversight during construction. Larry is a graduate of
Michigan Technological University where he attained a bachelor of
science degree in Geological Engineering and a master of science degree
in Civil Engineering.
SME named Robert C. Tober, Operations Manager of
Construction Materials Services (CMS) in our Bay City office. Bob
has 22 years of CMS experience with SME and is responsible for reviewing
field and laboratory test reports and managing our CMS team.
