Today, we have some exciting news to share with you. The principals and team members of EDP Consultants are joining Soil and Materials Engineers, Inc. (SME) as EDP Geosciences, a division of SME.

We want to assure you that we are still the same hometown team that has been serving you since 1972. We will continue to provide the same excellence in services with the same dedicated people you have come to know and trust. And our professional commitment and personal involvement is just as solid as it has been since we started.

We will continue to keep our single source of responsibility approach on your projects. Our passion to help clients at every stage of development and ownership, from site acquisition, design and construction, to maintenance, restoration and even redevelopment, hasn't changed.

What has changed to our mutual advantage is the added depth of resources we can bring you in areas such as brownfield financing and redevelopment, geo-structural design, and pavement management and rehabilitation.

SME was formed in 1964 and has grown to over 200 people who provide innovative, practical and sustainable solutions for the natural and built environment through environmental, geotechnical, and materials consulting and design services from eleven offices in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.

Combining our experience with SME's considerable bench strength will position us – and you, our clients – to take advantage of the advanced technologies that are coming into our field.

Our mission all along has been to add significant value to our clients' projects and become a trusted member of their project team. We are confident this great regional fit will make both EDP Geosciences and SME stronger to your benefit.
